[ARCHIVED] Gravois Road Detour Change

-Ferry St. will be closed to traffic at Water St. sending all motorists to Grave St. then south to Gravois Rd.

-Main St will be closed to thru traffic at Mound St. but still allowing access to residential and businesses, but complete closure at Gravois Rd.

-The current detour for westbound Gravois Rd. traffic (Mound to Main) will be eliminated.

-Westbound traffic will continue on Gravois Rd. at Ferry St., shifted onto the new pavement.  At a point just east of the gas station, westbound traffic will shift back to the existing westbound lane.

-The traffic signals at Old 141 and Gravois Rd. will be placed on red flash to allow for better traffic movement.

This change is to allow for the continuing removals and preparation for a larger concrete pour scheduled for Friday, weather permitting. The new detour has been discussed with the Fenton Police who, along with the City and Raineri Construction, will monitor for any needed adjustments in signage.

We are aware of the impact roadway reconstruction has on traffic and are continuing to find the best solution to ensure completion of the roadway construction prior to the cold weather season.
