[ARCHIVED] Do Not Dispose of Batteries in Trash or Recycle

We are requesting your assistance with a very serious situation. Waste Connections has seen an increase of batteries in the residential recycle over the last couple of weeks. As you know, batteries are not recyclable. More importantly, batteries can become combustible and cause fires in Recycle Trucks and Recycle Centers.  This is very dangerous for all.

Please be sure to recycle batteries at Lowe’s or Home Depot.  Thank you for your help.
