PUBLIC WORKS

Building/Grounds Maintenance Worker
Performs manual routine work in all phases of building cleaning operations including vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, replacing cleaning and custodial supplies, cleaning windows and doors (inside and outside), removing snow, occasionally landscaping, replacing light bulbs, painting interior and exterior surfaces, and other building maintenance activities as required. Receives daily functional supervision from Building/Grounds Technician; receives administrative supervision from Building Operations Supervisor.

Pay Scale:
$15.08(Entry) - $18.58(Mid) - $22.09(Max)


Maintenance Worker I
Responsible for performing semi-skilled maintenance and construction of City infrastructure, recreational facilities, park grounds, buildings, vehicles, equipment, and related items.  Assists skilled Maintenance Workers in infrastructure repairs, replacement of concrete, asphalt, storm line and drainage systems, signage, and traffic signals and markings.  Receives daily functional supervision from skilled Maintenance Workers; receives administrative supervision from the Director of Public Works and/or designee. 
Pay Scale: 
$15.08(Entry) - $18.58(Mid) - $22.09(Max)

PARKS AND RECREATION

City of Fenton, MO (4,022 population) is seeking applicants from qualified persons for the position of Parks and Recreation Director.  Fenton is a 4th class City in St. Louis County with an annual budget of $19 million and approximately 40 full time employees.  The City of Fenton houses and maintains 9 public parks and a Recreation Facility.  Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation or a related field, along with six years of related supervisory work experience, or other equivalent combination of education and experience.  Applicants must also have a proven record of strong interpersonal skills, financial planning, contract compliance, and human resources.   Salary range for this position is $79,379 - $102,002 - $124,624 and is to be determined based on qualifications and experience.  This position will directly supervise approximately 7 full-time staff and approximately 150 PRN staff.  Interested applicants should send a resume, cover letter and references, along with a salary history to: City of Fenton, Missouri, Attn: Morgan Kuepfert, 625 New Smizer Mill Road, Fenton, MO 63026.  Applications will be accepted until February 4, 2019.  The full job description is available at Fenton City Hall, or by contacting Morgan Kuepfert at .

Personal Trainer
Flexible hours, requires day and night availability. At least one year of experience preferred. Must have certification (AFAA, ACE, NASM or another national certification). Starting pay is $25/hour.

SilverSneakers Instructor
Must be able to work mornings. Must be certified through SilverSneakers or willing to get certification within six months of hire date if already have another certification. Starting pay is $20/hour.

Yoga Instructor 
Must be willing to teach classes in the evenings. At least one year of experience preferred. Must be certified in yoga. Starting pay is $20/hour.

Swim Lesson Instructor
Now hiring swim instructors for 2019, must have prior swimming experience. Saturday Mornings 9:15-11:15 am starting at $10.06/hr

Umpire
Now hiring for men's and co-ed softball umpired for the 2019 season.  All leagues will be using USSSA rules as the basis for play.  Games are played Monday through Friday and Sunday.  Pay range is $18.80 - $26.33 per hour. 

Camp Counselor
Must have prior experience working with children.  Camps run from June to the second week in August, Monday through Friday.  Camp staff work varying shifts between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.  Applicants must be able to work 8 out of 10 weeks of the summer camp program.  Pay starts at $10.08/hour with flexibility dependent on experience. 

Front Desk Opener 
This position will answer incoming calls, direct customers through the facility, check in members and guests, register customers for programs, and other clerical duties as assigned.  MUST be available for opening shifts.  Shifts range from 5:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 

Group Exercise Instructor 
Individual must be certified (ACE, AFAA, ISSA, etc.) to teach a variety of morning and evening classes.  The position starts at $20.00/hour.
