Maintenance Worker I

This position will perform maintenance and construction of City infrastructure, recreational facilities, park grounds, and buildings.  Other duties include, but are not limited to, repairs on City streets, curbs, sidewalks, parking lots, drainage systems including culverts and ditches, park grounds, operating light to heavy equipment and tree trimming, and brush removal, grass and trimming.   

Lead Building and Grounds Maintenance Worker

This position performs manual routine work in all phases of building cleaning operations including vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, replacing cleaning and custodial supplies, cleaning windows and doors (inside and outside), removing snow, basic landscaping, replacing light bulbs, painting interior and exterior surfaces, and other building maintenance activities as required.

Building and Grounds Maintenance Worker

Recreation Associate 1 - Front Desk - RiverChase

This position is responsible for greeting gym users, answering phones, checking members and guests into community pass, registering customers for classes, programs and memberships, checking in and out rental equipment, collecting fees for all transactions and balancing cash drawers after every shift. 

Recreation Associate 1 - Fitness Attendant - RiverChase

Performs duties as assigned under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor - Fitness or Manager on Duty, as assigned. This position is responsible for maintaining and cleaning equipment, welcoming members, and guests, teaching members and guests how to use the equipment, reporting, and resolving complaints and ensuring all rules and regulations are enforced.  

Recreation Associate 1 - Stay-N-Play Attendant - RiverChase

This position works in the RiverChase facility and is responsible for the care and safety of children in the Play Center.  Stay-N-Play Attendant is a part-time year-round position. The position works approximately 20-25 hours per week. The varied work schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Individuals hired for this position must pass a drug test and a background check.

Performs duties as assigned under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor – Camps/Front Desk/ Special Events or Manager on Duty, as assigned.  This position is responsible for the care and safety of all children in the Stay-N-Play area. Must be able to obtain and retain a Basic First Aid and CPR/AED certification.  

Recreation Associate 1 - Swim Coach - RiverChase

Performs duties as assigned under the direction of the Recreation Associate III - Head Swim Coach. This position is responsible for teaching, coordinating, and carrying out daily activities set by Head Swim Coach.

Recreation Associate I - Concession Stand Attendant

The City of Fenton is accepting applications for a Rec. I - Concession Stand Attendant for the 2022 season. The position works approximately 20-25 hours per week. The varied work schedule will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Performs duties as assigned under the direction of the Director or Recreation Supervisor or Manager on Duty or Concession Stand Manager, as assigned.  This position is responsible for daily duties at the City’s concession stands, including customer service, food preparation, and financial transactions. 

Must be able to obtain and retain a Basic First Aid and CPR/AED certification. Experience in cash handling is preferred. Individuals hired for this position must pass a drug test and a background check.

Recreation Associate II - Park Concession Stand Attendant

The City of Fenton is accepting applications for a Rec. II – Park Concession Stand Attendant for the 2022 season. The position works approximately 20-25 hours per week. The varied work schedule will include evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

Performs duties as assigned under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor- Adult and Youth Sports/Rentals or Park Concession Stand Manager, as assigned. This position is responsible for daily duties at the Fenton City Park and/or Fenton Sports Complex, including customer service, food preparation, and financial transactions. 

Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and able to complete SMART Server Training. Must be able to obtain and retain a Basic First Aid and CPR/AED certification. Experience in cash handling is preferred. Individuals hired for this position must pass a drug test and a background check.

Recreation Associate 3 - Manager on Duty - RiverChase

Performs duties as assigned under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Director or Recreation Supervisor, as assigned.  This position is responsible for assisting with the overall supervision of Park facilities, including, RiverChase and Farmers Market.

Recreation Associate 3 - Park Concession Stand Manager

Performs duties as assigned under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor- Adult and Youth Sports/Rentals. This position is responsible for assisting with the overall supervision of the concession stands at Fenton City Park and/or Fenton Sports Complex, as assigned.  

Recreation Associate 5 - Fitness Instructor - RiverChase

Performs duties as assigned under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor - Fitness or Manager on Duty, as assigned. The Recreation This position is responsible for the instruction of fitness classes (water aerobics, group cycling, senior fitness, and/or all other group fitness classes) and developing individual lesson plans, being familiar with various styles of group exercise formats, supervising class participants and leading instructional sessions. The position will be responsible for assistance of equipment set up, creating a safe and fun environment.

Recreation Associate 5 - Personal Trainer - RiverChase

Performs duties as assigned under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor – Fitness. This position is responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing one-on-one, partner, or group workout programs that match the needs and goals of the client.

Recreation Associate 5 - Volleyball Official

Candidates interested in this opportunity can expect to work an initial appointment of January 2022 - April 2022.

Performs duties as assigned under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor – Adult and Youth Sports/Rentals.   This position is responsible for officiating adult volleyball league games. 

High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain and retain a Basic First Aid and CPR/AED certification.  May require a nationally recognized certification (or obtain one within 90 days of hire). Individuals hired for this position must pass a drug test and a background check.
